I got this spam also, but only by PM on Guru. I hope the mods ban this guy!!!

Do you have "Receive Email from Other Members" checked in messages and notifications?

It's simple.

The email itself is nothing to worry about, that's the automatic notification that you have a private message waiting.

The lack of PM isn't anything to worry about either - as you can see by the content, it was spam - and the team is rather good at getting rid of that!

So, spammer spams, spam gets deleted, spammer gets banned, people get confused.

Nothing to see here - move along

We do have some anti-spam tools, but on occasion they slip between the cracks and are able to spread doom and destruction across the forum.

Anyone else find it odd that 'Saturday' and 'juli' aren't spelled properly?

I too got one of these messages. Deleted it then checked Guru when I was heading there anyway. No message. Not the first time I have gotten a spoofed message from a web site I frequent, too bad it won't be the last.

Was listening to this when the little msn thing popped up saying I had gotten an email from guru, so rather then actually check my email I check guru and see that I had spam pm's...and nearly fell out of my chair laughing.... am I the only one who thinks its funny?

Is it odd not everyone lives in USA or England and therefore some email information might not be in English?

Just a raw translation to make others understand.

Is that odd?
